Evening peak (Southbound)

16:00 – 18:30

Higher traffic volumes are generally experienced during the afternoon commute towards Greenwich, Lewisham, Bexley and Kent.

QEII Bridge & Dartford Crossing

The Dartford Crossing carries a combination of commuter, freight and long-distance traffic throughout the day.

Typical weekday demand is generally highest during:

Southbound (towards Kent)

07:00 – 09:30

Northbound (towards Essex)

16:00 – 19:00

Traffic volumes also tend to increase on Friday afternoons, during school holidays and across Bank Holiday weekends.

Planned Engineering Works

A206 Woolwich Church Street

Lane restrictions remain westbound near Warspite Road while cycleway improvement works continue.

The scheme remains one of the longest-running highway projects within the immediate South East London area and localised delays remain possible during busier periods.

A206 Woolwich Road

Junction improvement works continue near Charlton Church Lane.

Current published information indicates that traffic continues to move through the works, although temporary traffic management remains in operation.

A207 Shooters Hill

Utility works continue near Craigholm with lane restrictions and temporary traffic management in place.

Transport for London advises that delays remain possible while SGN gas works continue.

Local Highway Works

Utility works, resurfacing projects and local highway improvements continue across Greenwich, Bexley and neighbouring boroughs.

Traffic management arrangements may change throughout the week as new permits are issued or works progress.

Major Events

The Greenwich Peninsula and The O2 continue to host concerts, exhibitions and entertainment events throughout the reporting period.

Although no exceptional city-wide transport event has been identified this week, increased local traffic volumes may be experienced before and after scheduled performances, particularly around the A102 corridor and approaches to the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels.
